The researchers suggests that the Milky Way galaxy can be a huge galactic wormhole and transport system in theory. The hypothesis was put forward that if the study were true, it would be "stable and navigable."

It exist. Scientists found that in the center of each galaxy, there is a super massive black hole. However, I'm doubtful about it's function as a galactic transport system.

They are hoping to compare other spiral and non-spiral galaxies to see if the geometry of galaxies would fit in what we would expect a wormhole to look like.

I think our solar system is a wormhole also and these wormholes come in all shapes and size and its something the Egyptians knew all about. The wormhole thats connected to the earth is the one the starship voyager was trying to find so they can get back home to earth.
