Researchers from the base and the British Museum announced that they have found a tantalizing clue about the fate of the Lost Colony settlers who disappeared from Roanoke Island in the late 16th veka.Klyuch was "Virginea Pars" map of Virginia and North Carolina created by explorer John White in the 1580s and owned by the British Museum since 1866.
Just a few years ago at the age-old map of researchers led back to the place of North Carolina in hopes of finding settled whether men, women and children of North Carolina "Lost Colony" there.
Other people once lived in the territory, so that researchers need to be sure that the products are not associated with them, said scientists. "Right now, we do not think so," they said.
