This is very interesting. There is a lot of misinformation out there on the gospels. A lot of people put a lot of faith in anyone ranked as a "scholar" however these scholars fight ferociously with each other over details and speculations that are controversial and earn them money. It seems that fact and truth are the victims of this contrite ness.

It would have been a bit more interesting to hear what they knew about the mummy. Location, occupation, name inscription, or just anything regarding it's history. Cool that some egyptians accepted Christ back then.

Neat technique. I know the mask gets destroyed but I bet there's some wild cool documents that will get revealed because of this. Even the mundane stuff such as business and personal documents will show some neat stuff I bet. Maybe we find some writing that was lost to the ages.
